Our Story

This property has been bringing people together for a very long time.

Built in 1777, the building that is now home to

The Guest House at Blue Ball Brewing began as a craftsman’s home and workshop, rooted in the early days of Ephrata. Over the centuries, as the town grew and changed, so did these walls—serving at different times as shops, workspaces, gathering spots, and eventually a welcoming inn for travelers passing through scenic Lancaster County.

While the names and uses evolved, one thing stayed the same: this was always a place centered on hospitality and community.

For decades, guests have come here to rest, reconnect, and enjoy the slower pace that makes this area special. Stories were shared around tables, friendships were formed, and memories were made—long before craft beer was even a thing!

Today, the property enters its next chapter as The Guest House at Blue Ball Brewing.

We’re taking our time with the refresh, updating one room at a time to ensure every detail honors the property’s history and character. While it’s a gradual process, our goal remains the same: to create a setting that’s comfortable, relaxed, and welcoming—just like the brewery next door.

Whether you’re visiting for a weekend escape, a local gathering, or simply seeking a place where a memorable evening can end with a restful night’s sleep, you’ll find this space thoughtfully designed for guests to connect and linger.

From 1777 to today, this property has always been about people. We’re proud to continue that tradition—one stay, one pint, and one shared story at a time.

Sleep well. Drink local. Stay a while.
